Daybook for April 13, 2009:

Outside my window...

The sun is shining, the grass is green, the flowers are blooming, the trees are budding, the critters and birds are partying, and the kids are playing.

I am thinking...

About how to simulate the beach house for M&M who preferred sleeping at night there to here at home.

I am thankful for...

A husband who gets up at 4:00am to sit with me, keep me company, and help me keep my sanity when the baby refuses to sleep.

From the learning rooms...

One more week off -- but learning none the less. The learning room will be out-of-doors much of this week. There is so much to explore out there right now.

From the kitchen...

Boiled eggs are cooling and a carrot cake is baking as we are prepping for a late Easter Dinner tonight. On the menu for that meal:

Ham

Potato Salad

Mac 'n' Chac

Broccoli

Applesauce

Deviled Eggs

Rolls

Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting and Vanilla Ice Cream

Yep, still in my bed clothes (sigh).

To get the kitchen garden set up this week and to make myself a purse/bag this weekend.

I am hearing...

The kids hard at play out back. I don't know what they are playing, but I know it involves shouting; so my headache and I are glad we are inside.

Around the house...

We are slowly getting things unpacked. It may be the end of the week before all is back in order. We are also getting estimates on fixing our sunroom (which is severely water damaged). I am hoping that will all get going in the next week.

One of my favorite things...

Is my bed. I loved the beach, and miss it horribly; but no other bed beats my bed.
